Story:
In this mixed-reality game, players take on the role of a New Mexico rancher protecting their cows from alien abduction. As UFOs descend, you're armed with only your trusty blaster and a strong sense of justice (and moo~).
(Spoiler alert)
As bullets fly and aliens fall, the walls begin to crack—literally. The player suddenly learns that they're not on Earth at all, but inside an alien simulation. The cow-abduction scenario is a data-harvesting experiment by extraterrestrial scientists studying humans.
Design Pillars:
Combat: Light-hearted FPS mechanics—aim, shoot, save your cows!
Surveillance: What if everything you do is being recorded? And you're not even aware?
Humor: A game that’s playful, absurd, and just a little too real.
Theme:
VR offers immersion—but also isolation. The headset blocks out the world, replacing it with something else. In Aliens Stole My Cows, that discomfort is the point: you’re being watched, and you don’t know by whom.
Overall Game Loop:
Combat → Player dies / UFO dies → Cow saved → Wall breaks → Simulation revealed
Player Verbs:
aim, shoot, dodge
