Story Background

In the future, after a catastrophic sun explosion, humanity has migrated to another planet. Centuries later, Earth is only remembered through archived footage. The new generation, known as the "New Humans," live in a dystopian paradise—without hunger, poverty, or money. All they must do is obey the rules of the Big Sister and take a daily blue pill, reminiscent of The Matrix.

Character Design

The Big Sister:

  • Inspired by Orwell’s Big Brother.
  • Omnipresent and omniscient.
  • The sole leader of society.
  • Intolerant of disobedience.

The Father and Daughter:

  • Ordinary New Humans in this dystopia.

The Earth Human:

  • Died 10,000 years ago, now on display in a museum.
  • No ethical concern over the public display of their body.
  • Inspired by Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man.

The movie poster in the background is inspired by movie The Best Offer.

Sound

Music: Soundtracks from movie Babylon (Welcome, Toad, Morning) by Justin Hurwitz. I especially loved Moring which plays as the Big Sister speaks—creating a tone both ironic and melancholic as Earth becomes remembered only as a corrupted relic.
